You Hold the Information Backbone Together — Data Quality, Strategy Execution, and Reliable Insights Start With You
As Asset Management Coordinator or Specialist, your role is not to provide administrative support in isolation. It is to ensure asset data is accurate, complete, and up to date, work management processes are followed consistently, asset strategies are implemented correctly, and reporting gives decision makers confidence.
This ready reckoner reframes your role from administrative support to data quality custodian, work management system specialist, asset strategy execution enabler, reliability support analyst, and information flow coordinator.
When your operating rhythm is strong, work order quality improves, PM and CBM tasks stay aligned to strategy, condition monitoring findings are actioned, BOMs remain accurate, and dashboards support better decisions. When it is weak, backlog data becomes unreliable, asset strategies drift in the CMMS and EAM, and planning, reliability, and reporting lose integrity.
Your role is to ensure the asset management system is fed by accurate information and that high quality insights reach the people who need them.
